    This morning, I was feeling a little cooped up.  It was rainy and dark, and my baby girl slept in until almost 11.  I decided that this was as good a day as any to go shopping.  My husband needed more work clothes and I needed to figure something out for dinner.  I’m a cheapskate, and always start at bargain places first, if possible.  We had a quick breakfast and then discussed the rules:  There would be a prize, IF the kids were SUPER well behaved in the store.     The Hand-me-WAY-down Dress

    When this shirt didn’t fit, I wasn’t surprised, or upset.  BUT… I KNEW that fabric would be great for something!  There had to be something that I could use it for, right? When I happened upon this 20 minute ruffle dress tutorial today on Baby Making Machine, I knew that I could turn it into a dress… and probably without much work.  It wouldn’t look like hers did… but it could turn out super cute!  So… I got to work.     Wall Stickers – Thank you, Dollar Tree!!

    I  am not a fan of bare walls.  In fact, I’m a mural fan, myself.  My husband?  All about resale – i.e. neutral.  Hmmm… One day I will get some color on the walls.  In the mean time, I try to spruce things up here and there on the cheap. When we first moved into our house, I got some cute safari animals and did the kids bathroom.  I learned a lesson about re-usable plastic stickers and simple WALL stickers.  Stickers, that don’t say re-usable, shouldn’t be put on to bathtubs!!! After a lot of Goo-b-Gone, they were removed.  I should have explained that I didn’t change theme, the kids…
