Shopping Fun
So, I have a wonderful sister-in-law here in Alaska who is up for any girly stuff as long as it doesn’t have anything to do with babies. She jokes that she’s missing that mommy chromosome. Lucky for her, her husband doesn’t really need to have kids either, so they make a good fit. My little sister loves kids, but she’s miles and miles away in California. And all I want? To go shopping for comfy clothes and stuff to keep me busy when all I feel like doing is sitting around. But I hate shopping alone. Today, however, my wonderful hubby gave me a wonderful gift. He took me shopping! We went to Bellies & Babies and bought two more Bella Bands (they are awesome!) and a pair of $11 maternity pants – the kind with the very stretchy waist, not the big u-shaped patch. They will grow with me, and they are super super comfy. We went to the Game store to get my nephew a birthday present and then to Michael’s to get a cross-stitch kit for me to work on. Finally, we went to Old Navy to use my birthday gift card and we got another pair of awesome maternity pants. I’m tickled pink. I got no complaints, we even got a trip to the dogpark, a furniture store, another baby store, the Food Factory (great cheesesteaks) and Lowes in, and now we’re home resting. Trying on Clothes at Old Navy and Bellies & Babies made me realize my little tummy is poking out all over now. I’m not just bloated up top anymore, I have a round little itty bitty tummy. I’ll take a photo once I’ve relaxed a bit. I’m worn out. I want to say I’m thrilled that Old Navy has a maternity section and has pants that are so comfy – I’m gonna try to talk hubby into letting me buy a few more as time goes on – and that hubby cares enough to shop with me, at the most girly of girly places – with no complaints. I really am blessed.
