Welcoming Baby – 1 Month
Talk about ready to have this little man. This is what I looked like before he finally arrived! He would kick around my heart and I would feel like my whole body was beating. So strange. I was so anxious for him to come. He even stayed in longer than expected. That was a surprise because at 32 weeks it looked like he wanted to come early.

Hunter finally arrived on April 20th! He was 9 lbs even and 20 3/4 inches long. What a handsome little guy! One week late, 8 hours of labor and he was finally here! Our little angel!

By the time Hunter arrived, my parents, James’ parents, my Oma and an uncle were all here in the RV Resort waiting for him. My father-in-law was here for a long time helping take care of me because we were having complications with the pregnancy. Hunter appeared to want to come early and I wasn’t able to take care of the dogs, or myself for that matter, properly. He flew down from Alaska to help out and was at the park for many weeks. We are so grateful. Then, my mom stayed with me the nights at the hospital because James wasn’t able to get time off of work and needed his rest. My mom was a life-saver. Hunter really took to her and when we came home from the hospital, she would come out in the middle of the night (she was staying in our camper) and help me when she heard him crying. She was really phenomenal. We were so blessed to have such great help!
Bringing Hunter Home was so exciting! He was so tiny in his car seat, and we couldn’t wait to let the puppies see him. I was still so tired, and uncomfortable, but I was ready to have my baby home. I was so nervous about having him in the car. The dogs were so excited! They hadn’t seen me in a few days and here I was, looking so different and with this little person. Our family was finally together again!

Our Son’s first month was amazing! He grew so quickly, and became such a little character so fast! We became members of our church in this first month of his life and he got used to coming along to everything. He went almost everywhere in pajamas so he wouldn’t get cold.
