Baby Shower Gifts : Nursing Cover

I’ve been going crazy making gifts for a baby shower.  One of the things that I needed for myself (or thought I did, until I realized I have finally become nursing without a cover – still concealed, though) was another nursing cover.  Not sure what happened to mine…

Anyway… found an awesome tutorial on Sew Much Ado and that was the one that I used to make this one…

There is also a gorgeous reversible cover tutorial at Make It and Love It, which I think is just amazing – but I didn’t want to do double thick because I live in Houston and it is HOT here!  Poor babies under covers already have to deal with so much heat… so I didn’t want to add anything that wasn’t necessary.

BUT… there is also a great tutorial at Little Birdie Secrets that incorporates a little burp rag in the corners (like my first nursing cover had – LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ) for little messes and it looks really really cool.  The next one I make will likely have this feature!

My photography skills aren’t the most impressive, but I think it turned out okay!
