Baby Doll Leash… CREEPY!

Just as I don’t like travel pillows and sippees dragging on the floor in an airport (or anywhere, for that matter,)  I also don’t like baby dolls dragging on the floor either.

I cut ribbon as long as I thought the doll should fall from their seatbelts … plus 4 inches longer on each end.  I folded it over, stitched across and installed KAM Snaps to attach to a seatbelt, and to the baby’s “carrier”.  I used FOE (Fold Over Elastic) to make two circles for the harness portion.  I measured how big I wanted them, folded in half and stitched closed, twice.

Then, I put each loop around the undressed baby doll… one arm and the head through each one.  It made an “X.”  I put one KAM snapped end around them both on the back and re-dressed the baby doll.

Unfortunately…
Despite the fact that NOT dropping the baby dolls while we travel is super appealing and I stand by the opinion that it is an awesome idea…

My husband pointed out that it is  CREEPY!!!!

And yet… I think I’m going to make another set for my daughter’s baby doll… because somehow the fact that the dolls won’t be lost or filthy beats out looking like a creepy baby doll hanging nut.  I mean.  I’ll be traveling with two toddlers, basically… so it’s not like we won’t fit the bill.  Right?
