Is it hot in here, or is it just me?

Every person is different, and every pregnancy different. For me, though I’ve been pregnant before, it was during a stage in my life where I was struggling with Chrohns, unknowingly and because I miscarried, a “normal” pregnancy would presumably be a little different. I find myself clinging to the very little information that I am familiar with (which isn’t really very comforting.)
I started off taking the pregnancy test when I had to run back and forth to the bathroom and was tired all the time. I suppose I was tender, but it wasn’t horrible. Since then, I had a spurt where I couldn’t sleep on my stomach because I was so tender and the tired was awful. Then, the tender stopped fairly suddenly overnight. It would return during the day, but when I would wake up during the night they wouldn’t hurt at all. This worried me because in the past that was an early warning sign, except that it didn’t really come back then. Like I said, it’s not really helpful for me to compare, but I’m getting really good at it.
Then my running to the bathroom started including all sorts of tummy trouble. One night I thought I was cramping, but it was just gas. What a relief. I’ve also noticed that I am not as mentally exhausted. Before, I could hardly stay awake during the day, and could hardly sleep at night. Lately, I am wide awake, but my body doesn’t seem to want to keep up with the plan. After each meal I spike a low-grade fever and it becomes very difficult to maintain a comfortable body temperature. I thought I was going crazy, but I’ve been taking my temp and it varies a good 4 degrees depending on how active I get. 97-100. Sometimes I only make it through washing a handful of dishes before I feel like I’m going to collapse from the heat. Sure enough I’ll be at 100 and it takes over a half hour to cool down. I struggle if I have to leave the camper and I get so warm the dogs don’t want to snuggle.
In general, I’m feeling better, and while this worries me on a few levels, I am hearing that nearing the second trimester brings relief. As I ask around to see what other women experienced, I”m learning that anything goes in pregnancy.
In other news, James’ aunt passed away this week after a long battle with cancer and that is never easy to deal with. Then James’ review was postponed another 6 months and that is presenting some interesting financial questions. Money was super tight before we found out I was pregnant and this will certainly add to it. So… our week is getting more interesting day to day. Praying for guidance from God and peace. I would like to enjoy each day, trusting that everything will be fine and I think I am struggling because I’m trying to pre-determine what fine means. One day at a time, right?
