UP and DOWN and UP and DOWN
So, contrary to popular believe, it is normal for most women to lose weight in their first trimester. This has worked out to my benefit because although my stomach is plumping a bit and I’ve bloated enough to make me feel quite pregnant, I continue to lose weight and doc pretty much aoks my eating more. Since the last OB appointment, however, I’ve lost near 10 lbs. Granted, I had my boots on at the time, but still…
On top of this… I took an Immodium AD on Saturday hoping I’d get some sleep after the relapse of the tummy flu… and it apparently decided to work mildly at the time and work very well for a few days following. That’s probably why the doc told me not to take it. But a pregnant woman who’s been feeling so cruddy for so many days and whose mood has been gradually getting cruddier and has not gotten sleep and on and on can get desperate and, knowing there is minimal risk taking immodium, went for it…
So… here I am, after having a wonderful bout of the tummy flu and losing close to ten lbs, I am apparently not going to lose anymore until the effects of the immodium wear off (hint hint) and yet I’m supposed to continue eating for me and baby and to get my weight a little balanced again and this is becoming a little uncomfortable. The gassy mommy stuff, not working out… lol… ironic wording.
I’m becoming more and more sarcastic and “sassy” as James and I have decided to refer to it, as the days pass this week and my patience is nearing nill. Things at work are amazingly calm and I feel fairly well physically, so its not all grumpy stuff, but still. Argh.
We did self-check-out at the store tonite because the cashiers were taking too long. We had a full cart (and under-tray-thing) and it took what felt like an hour to ring out because the machine kept arguing with me. The store is lucky I dealt with a machine tonite… had our real cashier been so agreeable, I think I might have decked him/her.
Long story longer… anybody see a glow yet? NOT ME! Love you guys… going to bed.
