IMAGINATION MOVERS!!!

Our house is a Netflix House. We don’t have cable (or we sort-of do, but it isn’t hooked up to our television – on purpose) or antenna television, so we don’t see anything unintentionally.  As a result, until yesterday, I didn’t even know that Imagination Movers had a show on Disney Junior.  Apparently, they do.  And… from what I’m reading, it’s pretty cool.

Anyway, Miller Outdoor Theatre, in Houston, Texas, had a FREE concert by Imagination Movers this morning!  Yeah, you read that correctly.  FREE!!!

We got there early (almost an hour early) with our friends, fully expecting that all tickets for seats would be handed out, but they weren’t!  There weren’t any assigned seats at all!  So… we wound up in the FRONT ROW!!!

Baby Girl was totally in awe when the music started.  She wasn’t sure what to think, or if she liked it.

My son was fairly adamant that he didn’t like it at all.  (For the record, he had already asked to go home before it started!  Needless to say, we stuck around.  Seriously!? A free concert.  Period.

When he got to shake hands with Rich, he was pretty happy!  

What concert can you go to with toddlers and have the band members waving hello to your kids (like, eye contact hello’s, not just general in-your-direction stuff) and shaking their hands?  THIS ONE!!!

When I read up about the band on Wikipedia and on their site, I was really excited to take the kids to see them, despite the fact that we’d never seen the show.

And, I’m SO glad that I did.  And FOR FREE!  Our little family is trying to pinch pennies and this concert was just what we needed.  It was an awesome chance to get out, in the shade and still in the fresh air, move around, enjoy some live music by an amazing band and not stress over finances because of it!  I’m still in shock over that part.  Thank you, Imagination Movers!  You made our day!  Truly awesome!
